Description: Brands Hatch - Saturday 17 July to Sunday 18 July 2010 The FIA World Touring Car and Formula Two Championships return to the Kent circuit this July as Brands Hatch plays host to its first international event of the year. The WTCC features some of the world’s best touring car drivers going head-to-head around the famous Grand Prix circuit. 2009 saw victories for Alain Menu and Augusto Farfus in two incident-filled races. This season, British drivers Andy Priaulx and Rob Huff will be looking to secure victory on their home track. Alongside the World Touring Cars is the FIA Formula Two Championship, which is back for a second season. Andy Soucek scored one of his seven race victories at Brands Hatch in 2008 whilst Austrian Philipp Eng scored his first win of the season after a race-long battle with Soucek. Brands Hatch will be hosting Rounds 11 and 12 in the championship and could be a key turning point in the race for the title and the prize of a test drive with the Williams Formula One team.
